Tsakhur (Russian: Цахур; Tsakhur: ЦIaIх) is a rural locality (a selo) and the administrative centre of Tsakhurskoye Rural Settlement, Rutulsky District, Republic of Dagestan, Russia. Population: 476 (2010 Census); 329 (2002 Census); 326 (1989 Soviet census). Most Tsakhur speak Tsakhor and Russian and Azerbaijani and the Tsakhur language is considered as an endangered language .There are 4 streets.
Geography
Tsakhur is located in the valley of the Samur river, 35km northwest of Rutul (the district's administrative centre) by road. Muslakh and Gelmets are the nearest rural localities.
