The Pacha Group is a Spanish holding company specializing in the leisure, entertainment and hospitality businesses. It was founded in 1973 by Ricardo Urgell.

About the Pacha Group

The Pacha Group is a lifestyle brand involved in sectors including music, leisure, entertainment, hospitality, and fashion. The company operates the nightclub Pacha Ibiza, the hotels Destino Pacha Hotel and El Hotel Pacha, as well as the beach club Playa Pacha. It was founded in 1967 by Ricardo Urgell, and has been owned by FIVE Holdings since 2023.

In Ibiza, Pacha opened a club in 1973, and then expanded into the hotel business with El Hotel Pacha. By 1990, Pacha discotheques had opened in Madrid, Tarragona and Rio de Janeiro. The first franchisee of the Pacha brand was a nightclub in Fão, Portugal, in 1992.

The first Pacha club in Argentina opened in 1993 in Buenos Aires.

The first Pacha club in Germany opened in Munich in the year 2000.

Pacha London opened in 2001 and closed in 2014.

Additionally, Pacha publishes annual music compilations with the Pacha branding on various Music Platforms (incl. Spotify, iTunes, Google Play Music, etc.), starting in 2008. They also release tracks under their Record label 'Pacha Recordings', and 'Pacha Multimedia S.L.'.

Pacha Ibiza

Pacha Ibiza opened in 1973 and is the earliest superclub in Ibiza. Built in Ses Feixes and facing Ibiza Town, Pacha was designed to resemble a farmhouse. The club was featured in the 2004 film It's All Gone Pete Tong and has capacity of 3,000. From 1998 to 2017, Pacha Ibiza was the venue for the DJ Awards.
