The Philippine Basketball AssociationFinals Most Valuable Player award is an award given to the player who makes an outstanding performance during a conference finals given since the 1996 All-Filipino Cup finals. The award is decided by the PBA Press Corps. Usually, the award is given to a player who is a member of the champion team in a conference and is given always at the end of the finals series. There have been times two players from the same team shared the award, with the most recent duo to accomplish this feat being Jimmy Alapag and Jayson Castro during the 2011 Commissioner's Cup finals. The award can only be given to local players and not the team's import.
