Bingham Township is one of sixteen townships in Hancock County, Iowa, United States. At the 2000 census, its population was 487.
History
Bingham Township was organized in 1878. Bingham is the name of John Bingham, a pioneer settler from England.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Bingham Township covers an area of 35.36 square miles (91.6 km) (91.58 square kilometers); of which 35.28 square miles (91.4 km) (99.78 percent) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km) (0.22 percent) is water.
