Anuraadha Tewari is a Writer - Director, working in the Hindi Entertainment Industry. Having set up India's first Writing Co., KOSEN RUFU, which creates Writers' Rooms and trains newer talent, Anuraadha runs her own certification course in Screenwriting with workshops across the world. Known as a prolific creative voice across various genres, Anuraadha is most known for the Story and Screenplay of award-winning films like Fashion (2008), Jail (2009), and Heroine (2012). Fashion won her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Screenplay as well as nominations in the Screen and IIFA awards that year.

Anuraadha attended the Welham Girls' School and was the National Topper of ISC Commerce 1989. Later, she graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi in B.Com Hons and was the President of the Students' Union. She earned a Master's degree in Mass Communication and is a Gold Medalist in Film Direction from the Film School of MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia .
Career
Anuraadha Tewari began as a Chief Assistant Director to Mahesh Bhatt and worked with him on three films in her early career. Thereafter, she was hired as the Creative Director of Anupam Kher's Media-based company and wrote and directed numerous TV Shows as well as large-scale Staged Events. She was acknowledged as the youngest director in India at the time by the mainstream press for her path-breaking Shows that included 'A Silent Love Story' as well as the iconic Lata Mangeshkar Live in Concert, apart from Filmfare, Screen and other Award Shows. She went on to head content as Supervising Producer at Channel V. In 2001, she served as CEO of a cinema-based portal by the Walchand group, followed by a stint as Creative Business Strategist for Astral Star Asia and Vogue Entertainment. In 2002, Anuraadha took the role of National Creative Director for Crest Communications as her last corporate stint. Returning to pure creative activities in 2004, she turned to writing full-time, and her filmography included Prakash Jha's Rahul, Yaadein by Subhash Ghai, and Supari by Padam Kumar. She has written 25 successful television shows, including Seven, a 26-part superhero series for Yashraj Films aired on Sony as well as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as well as Savdhaan India on Star Plus. Her most famous works are the Story and Screenplay of the award-winning Fashion (2008), Jail (2009), and Heroine (2012), all directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. In 2017, Anuraadha created KOSEN-RUFU, a Company that collaborates with Writers across the world, to work in a Writers' Room led by her on various projects. Together, they have also created 7 web Series, including the iconic Raisinghani vs Raisinghani (Sony Liv) as well as Dil Dosti Dilemma (Amazon Prime), which earned itself a prestigious Amul hoarding tribute. Anuraadha is also the curator of Film Festivals and offers a Certification Course in Screenwriting conducted in various countries. She is also a trained Psychotherapist and helps people with Mental Health in her free time.
